Tours and Transfers

The two port cities (Valparaíso and San Antonio), each with their own cruise terminals, are 100 km from each other, and both ports are 100 km from Santiago (our capital and home of the international airport). The three cities are in a triangular formation with respect to each other.

Between these three cities, spectacular wine valleys await, each with various local wineries offering wine tours. One valley in particular, recognized among the top ten in the world, is our Casablanca valley.

On cruise embarkation days, we normally offer, in addition to private and personalized tours, also group tour services. Both of excellent quality. If you are looking for pre- or post-cruise tour services, we are happy to offer you private and personalized services.

Take a moment to look at our tour services below. From these basic tour structures, we can develop personalized itineraries, both for groups and private ones.

Let us know your arrival or departure point, as well as your destination, your availability or local schedule, the number of interested people and their interests. We will send you a viable proposal, using our extensive local knowledge.

We are the same company as Puerto San Antonio Tours, and we cover both main ports.

1.- VALPARAÍSO AND WINE

(Valparaíso / Viña del Mar / Casablanca Valley): Pre cruise/ Post cruise/ day tour.

Travel to the city of Valparaiso (world heritage) and enjoy its history and culture, as well as the famous Casablanca wine valley on the way back to your final destination (cruise terminal, hotel, etc.).

Tour review

This tour can be booked before the cruise, after the cruise or as a day tour (transfer on the day of embarkation or disembarkation). The tour order sequence will depend on your logistical requirements (your pick-up location/destination location). If you have a return flight on the same day, the flight departure should not be before 8:00 p.m., so that the service is optimal.

After pickup (cruise terminal, hotel, etc.) we will go directly to the city of Valparaíso, a world heritage site. The only stop will be at the Catholic sanctuary of Lo Vásquez, famous for the largest pilgrimage in Chile (every December 8). In this context we will explain more about the Spanish influence during colonization.

Arriving in Valparaíso, we will explore and learn about the importance of the port city until the opening of the Panama Canal in 1914. During this period, there was a high influence of multinational immigrants, as evidenced by the Victorian-style architecture. Over the last 30 years, the city has transformed into the cultural and artistic center of the country. We will walk through the hills and alleys, enjoy street art, art galleries and small pubs and shops.

You’ll ride at least one of the famous 19th-century funiculars, which were used by immigrants to connect residential areas with the downtown business district.
Later, we will drive along the boardwalk to the coastal town of Viña del Mar, where we will see highlights such as the flower clock, the Quinta Vergara botanical garden, the Easter Island statue, and the municipal casino. This will also include a short lunch break with the chance to try a typical Chilean pastry: the empanada (not included in the tour price).

We will continue towards the capital, Santiago de Chile, passing through the famous Casablanca wine valley. You’ll see the similarities to the Napa and Sonoma Valleys in California, and it’s your chance to try one of the best white wines in South America! In the late afternoon we will arrive at your final destination (cruise terminal, hotel, etc.).

From $130 USD (no prepayment needed).

2.- SANTIAGO, CHILE:

(Valparaíso / Viña del Mar / Casablanca Valley): Pre cruise/ Post cruise/ day tour.

Explore the capital of Chile and see the contrast between the old historic center and one of the most modern cities in South America.

Tour review

This tour can be booked after the cruise or as a day tour (transfer). If you have a return flight on the same day, the flight departure must not be before 8:00 p.m.

After pickup at the cruise terminal, we will head directly to the capital, Santiago de Chile. A metropolitan area where almost 40% of the country’s population lives.

First of all, we will focus on the historic center of the city. We will visit the famous Santa Lucía hill, near where the city was founded by the Spanish in 1541. On our walk you will visit the church of San Francisco, the oldest building left in the city, we will also visit the Paris-London neighborhood, as well as the old stock exchange.

The highlight will be the La Moneda government house, which became famous during the military coup of 1973. A short walk through the lively pedestrian area ends at the Plaza de Armas, a square with numerous historic buildings such as the Cathedral from Santiago.

Before continuing towards the modern commercial district, and depending on the weather, we can choose between a climb to San Cristóbal Hill, either by bus or cable car, and achieve a 360-degree panoramic view of the city. Or we can visit a 100% local craft fair, with more than 120 stalls where local artisans offer their art.

Lunch is not included in the tour, but you will have the time and different culinary options to enjoy a break. In the late afternoon we will arrive at your final destination (cruise terminal, hotel, etc.).

From $120 USD (no prepayment needed).

3.- COAST AND WINE

(Casablanca Valley / Central Coast Line): Pre cruise/ Post cruise/ day tour.

Enjoy the Central Coast of Chile as a mix of long sandy beaches and small fishing villages, as well as the Casablanca Valley, the best region for white wines in South America!

Tour review

This tour can be booked before the cruise, after the cruise, or as a day tour (transfer). If you have a return flight on the same day, the flight departure must not be before 8:00 p.m.

After meeting your local guide at the pickup location (cruise terminal, hotel, etc.), we will head directly to the Casablanca wine valley.

This valley is famous for its cool climate, influenced by the Pacific Ocean. We will visit at least two different types of wineries and explain the process of growing and making wine.

Then, we will continue with the panoramic tour of the Chilean coast, where we will choose a local restaurant for lunch (not included in the tour price). It is not in vain that famous and recognized local poets such as Vicente Huidobro, Pablo Neruda or Nicanor Parra have been inspired by the beauty of the area that is also called the poets’ coastline.

Among the attractions along the coast are the old whaling station and the small fishing village of Quintay. Nearby is one of the largest swimming pools in the world in Algarrobo. The house of the famous Nobel Prize-winning poet Pablo Neruda in Isla Negra is a must-see icon of the area. In the late afternoon we will arrive at your final destination (cruise terminal, hotel, etc.).

From $110 USD (no prepayment needed).
